Basilica of the Holy Cross, right aisle: "Pulpit with scenes from the life of St. Francis - tile about St. Francis in front of Pope Honorius III who approves the Franciscan Order", by Benedetto da Maiano (around 1481). Decorated by five bas-relief sculpted tiles, with scenes from the life of the Saint, it has a strong effect of depth thanks to the skilful use of perspective. There are niches with statuettes of the Virtues under each tile.
